Hud Security FYI

For anyone who maybe concerned that the some functions such as buying and selling weed, changing Family details etc are done on a website without the need to log in, heres how it works.

Naturally I cannot go into too much detail for security reasons but...

Each account has an randomly generated aplhanumeric password that changes every time you connect to the game server.

This is why you have to access certain pages from your HUD in SL and can not bookmark pages as returning to it later will cause an authentication error.

It has been determined by using an online password strength crackometer that the only way to break the password is with brute force.

In order to do that you would need 100 computers each making 500,000 attempts per second for up to 452947161488553350000 years. Please note the UP TO part as the longest time it would take when it all probability if the machines got lucky they would mostly likely do it in half that time :)
